Objects with
personal significance.
Custom pendants, medallions, casings, small sculptural pieces and distinctive objects developed beyond conventional jewellery categories.
Form follows meaning.
Some ideas do not fit neatly into a standard jewellery category. They may be devotional, commemorative, symbolic, collectible or entirely personal.
KimTiao can assess commissions involving medallions, detailed pendants, fitted casings, small statues, emblems and custom objects in precious or decorative materials. The method depends on scale, detail, structural requirements and the materials involved.

Made for a purpose.
The following are examples of directions that may be explored. Feasibility is confirmed only after the brief and object are assessed.
Medallions & pendants
Frames, borders, bails and stone accents developed to complement a central object or image.
Protective casings
Custom-fitted forms designed around the dimensions and intended use of an existing object.
Small sculptural pieces
Three-dimensional forms translated through modelling, casting, fabrication and finishing.
Commemorative objects
Symbols, emblems and personalised details created to mark a person, event, organisation or milestone.
Complex work begins with technical assessment.
Scale, weight, movement, attachment points, stone security and daily handling all influence the design.
For objects that already exist, KimTiao will need to inspect their dimensions and condition. Where a commission involves culturally or personally significant material, the intended handling and preservation requirements should be discussed before any work proceeds.
Discuss a special commission
Share photographs, dimensions and the intended purpose of the object. An in-person assessment may be required before a proposal can be made.
